Wills Point artist Paige Bridges has contracted her vintage travel trailer artwork with Current, which is now selling her prose on checks, checkbook covers, and address labels. Pleased with her agreement, the non-exclusive contract gives Current the right to use Bridges’ art as they choose, and allows her the same privilege . Current is also putting some of Bridges’ Christmas trailer art on wrapping paper that is expected to be ready for the next holiday season.
The idea to market Bridges’ travel trailer art to Current belongs to her friend Ric Pfarrer, from Colorado Springs , Colorado . Presently, Pfarrer is working on marketing Bridges’ artwork on postcards, to be sold at vacation spots, such as KOA Kampgrounds. The purpose of this endeavor will be to benefit Parkinson’s Research in Colorado .
Bridges began painting when she was 6 years old, has been teaching since 1978, and much of her artwork reflects happy youthful memories. "I call my style of artwork, ‘Vintage.’ I focus on the 1940s, 50s, and 60s," explained Bridges. . Each painting has a story, like ‘Hambone,’ so named because of her father’s nickname. Another painting is a tribute to First Monday, in Canton . And another, a depiction of Texas character. ." It is easy to get lost in the peaceful scenes that also instill a sense of adventure.

The owners of six KOA campgrounds and a couple of RV dealerships are test marketing postcards using three of Paige’s prints. The postcards are a form of inexpensive advertisements for the vintage trailer art products and prints that Paige now has to offer by way of CURRENT USA and a couple of other sources.  The project to get research funds through this talented artist’s work is beginning to take off. If you have contacts or ideas that will help us get this project off the ground even faster, please let me know.
